The Lawn Whisperer can actually talk to your lawn, plants and garden, and tell you if you’re watering too much and how to change your water use habits. The Lawn Whisperer grabbed homeowners’ attention and helped curtail water-wasting habits in a funny and memorable way in the DFW Metroplex. This campaign utilized a wide variety of media—from TV to radio and outdoor to online.
Film festivals celebrate films. But this year, the Lone Star Film Festival celebrated the Film Audience with a series of illustrations depicting a wide variety of people who enjoy going to the movies. Jonathan illustrated ten (10) different characters for the festival that were used on posters, outdoor banners, promotional materials and set decorations.

Logo for a new music product called DrumKubes. The Kubes are made to easily insert into the bass drum of a drum kit and provided the needed sound dampening in concert and recording situations. The DrumKubes come in many colors, thus the logo can be produced in different color configurations.
Betsill Brother Construction is the preeminent builder on the island of Maui, Hawaii. They wanted a website that reflected that. We created a site full of fantastic photos of their successful projects, as well as introducing their experienced team to the world. They are very happy with the results.
For those times you can't get the sunset photo you want, or when you wish you had a car on a beach, or a light beam shining on a certain spot, high-end compositing can be a life saver. All of these images are composites and show how a photo can be taken from good to great.

The partners of this hybrid lobby/sales firm wanted to embrace their Texas heritage yet remain fresh and relevant in today’s market. They were extremely pleased with the results.
North Texas Specialty Physicians wanted to refresh their brand and make it more warm and inviting to patients. We created a new logo and marketing materials using illustrations that helped the patient understand the NTSP difference.
A few posters I've created. Whether it's a holiday party invitation, or a fun run poster, my goal has always been to make the most fun and engaging posters as possible.
Developed a revised brand for Blackmon Mooring, a disaster relief and home services company, including new logo, graphic standards, fleet design, marketing material templates, etc. Blackmon Mooring saw this almost completely through to the end (around nine months' worth of work), then dropped the rebranding due to potential merger/acquisition talks. To say we were a little bummed is being kind. But hey, the work is worth showing.
Educational posters to be used in secondary schools to inspire students to study math.
A small sampling of brochures created over the years. Everything from annual reports to point-of-purchase to real estate.
There is architecture photography. Then there's that special photography that elevates a building or interior to a whole other place. If you're wanting to set the mood for your building, home or business, this is what you are looking for.
An introduction video for the annual North Texas Commission (NTC) meeting honoring leaders in the community. The NTC is non-profit consortium working to enhance the economic vitality and quality of life of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
Here are a few illustrations done for clients in many fields and some personal work.
Domestic First Coalition’s mission is to educate and advocate for domestically-manufactured products with private entities and government officials. We developed a logo and trade materials for Domestic First which communicate the power, quality and efficiency of domestically-produced products.
A sampling of work for telecom providers. Most of it is older, but still good, thanks to some wonderful illustration work by Jon Flaming on the 99¢ Campaign and some clever headlines and visuals (all other illustration work is by Jonathan Rice).
Developed a brochure for the Trinity River Vision Authority — a master-planned flood prevention project and economic development area in the heart of Tarrant County.
I've been able to do a few book covers in my career and these are a few of my favorites. For Green Light Bridge, I drove over 300 miles in Texas searching for just the right bridge to photograph. And for Spare Me, I created an image that perfectly illustrated the criminal mob story set in the world of professional bowling.
